Built on a strong foundation.
Economy Series sheds are built on 4x4 pressure-treated lumber, paired with 2x4 floor joists spaced 16" on center, then topped with plywood flooring. This creates a floor system designed for strength and long-term durability.
Framing that holds up.
The side walls and roof framing are built with 2x4 construction, with wall studs spaced 24" on center. Many sheds cut cost with 2x3 framing, Esh’s uses 2x4 framing to keep structural integrity strong.

Yes, a plywood floor is included. The Economy Series uses pressure-treated 4-by-4 runners, 2-by-4 floor joists spaced 16 inches on center, and untreated plywood flooring. It also includes 2-by-4 wall framing, LP SmartSide siding, Miratec trim, and architectural shingles. The runners beneath the building are treated, but the plywood floor is not.

The Economy Series has wall studs spaced 24 inches on center, while the Value Line has wall studs spaced 16 inches on center. “On center” describes the distance between the centers of neighboring studs. The Value Line also has sidewalls that are 1 foot taller than the Economy Series. In addition, the Value Line includes felt paper beneath its shingles, while the Economy Series does not.

Esh’s sheds are designed for a solid, level stone base, and blocks are highly discouraged. Our preparation guidance calls for removing 4 to 6 inches of topsoil, filling the area with crushed limestone, and extending the pad approximately 1 foot beyond each side of the building.

Esh’s published building warranty provides five years of coverage for manufacturing defects, roof leaks, and workmanship. It excludes normal wear and tear and failure to maintain the building, and an improper foundation voids the warranty.
